Capt. Azam Ismail was doing accountancy in MARA College, Banting. God diverted his path and he became a seafarer. He joined Malaysia Maritime Academy (ALAM) as a Deck Cadet Officer at the age of 20 in 1996. He has a degree in Management of Technology (Maritime Transportation) and a Master Mariner (the highest certification in Maritime profession).
